I had a bad experience at Chilis. Sent them comments. Let’s see what they do about it.
Here’s what I said:
I had a bad experience at Chilis. I go to the Paramus Chilis quite regularly. Last Friday I called ahead and was told that there was a 40min wait. I put my name down. Around 40min later I called again, afraid that I might have lost my place in line, and was told that my turn would be soon. I got that 10mins later and was told that I would be next. We waited for 20 mins, by which time it was 70 mins since my name was put down, and when I asked how much longer we had to wait we were informed, by the manager and without any apology or sense or responsibility, 15-20 mins more. At this point I left without eating because I don’t like doing business with a concern that blatantly lies to its customers. Basically instead of there being a 40min wait there really was a 90min or longer wait. Had I been informed honestly when I called I would have just come later. We had a party of 5 and we have been loyal customers. This was very disappointing and wasted a lot of my time. I do not appreciate being lied, specially when it’s done by the manager without any apology!

As always the bus was crowded today. This little bitch like male humanoid creature decided to stand in the aisle and essntially rest his ass on my shoulder. I pushed the cretin off with my shoulder, he didn’t move much. I nudged his leg with my hand, while saying excuse me. No response. I firmly tapped his arm with my hand, while saying “Buddy” loud enough for a two seat radius to hear me. The little bitch moved his fat behind to lean in such a way as to not be in any physical contact with me. But he still did not say a thing to me, or even looked at me.
This asshole motherfucker pissed me off. Impolite little motherfucking piece of turd.
The rest of the trip I indulged in some self therapy to process my rage. I sat and thought of all the different ways I could hurt him. Hurt him bad enough to not kill him, but at least result in some broken/dislocated bones, teeth and cartillage, in other words a world of pain. Once I had drawn up a number of possible tactics, based on the martial arts I’ve sutdied, the cramped quarters, and our relative positioning, I decided to categorize them based on the basic martial art involved. In the end it was a close call between the kick boxing and Hapkido approach. While kick boxing provided opportunities of employing some brute strength moves that would result in the satisfaction of feeling bone/cartilage breaking against a strike, it also involved some high risk moves. Hapkido would provide a more controlled strategy, though it would involve dislocating joints rather than breaking bones, though I would still get to break cartilage and teeth. In the end I decided that kickboxing was the winner.
I feel better now. I know one’s not supposed to hit people in today’s society, but I consider people bumping my injured shoulder, with their fat ass, assault; and I do believe self defence is allowed under the law…

I was really excited about watching this movie. Mamet is good at his craft, I love martial arts, Randy Couture is in the movie as well, all in all it promised to be a film I would enjoy. I would be lying if I said that I liked it. The plot was weak as were the characters. The ending was unintelligent, cliche and melodramatic. The action sequences were not very well shot/edited. The acting was reasonable in most cases, but that did not even come close to making up for the slew of other shortcomings of the movie. Mr. Mamet your work was truly disappointing.

I liked this movie. It was well shot and gave the documentary/reality feel. It was about the Bloody Sunday incident which involved the British army killing 13 Irish demonstrators in the city of Derry. Watching this movie I can’t but think about what America and NATO is doing in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ivan Cooper the MP from Derry says at the end of the movie that this violent action by the British army would result in large numbers of recruits for the IRA which would earn the Brits a world of hurt. He was right when he said that, and that’s exactly what happened. Well, the US and its Allies are doing thousands of times worse things in those poor countries, and then they are surprised by the rise of extremist groups. This world is a sad place, doomed to be manipulated and ruled by unethical bigots only concerned about money and power.

What a colossal waste of time. The movie was a predictable, crappy, not scary, corny mess. Given the percentage of movies that I don’t like I’m not sure why I watch so many of them. I really should stop. I really should…

Watched “The Game” on yesterday night. It’s from 1997. I thought that I had heard good things about it. After watching it I have to believe that I was wrong. The plot was inane, the acting was okay, the characters were not believable. I am surprised that actors like Sean Penn and Michael Douglas would sign up for some movie like this. There were so many plot holes in the movie that I will not even go there. Also, the idea that a brother can think that using his father’s suicide as means to make his elder brother do the same is a good birthday present seems, at the very least, unlikely. The idea that the elder brother also thinks it was all in good fun is even more improbable. This movie was a colossal waste of time.

Not the best movie in the world, but hell it did make me laugh a few times. The humor was crass, the ending was the usual crap - though I have to say Thornton falling flat on his face was kind of funny. I would not classify watching this movie as a complete waste of time.

Got back from vacation earlier this week. We had fun at Killington. On the way there though we stopped at Rochester for a couple of days where I rankled my skeleton badly enough that I hurt for the rest of the vacation, though it was the good kind of pain. Spent a many hours in the heated pool at the place we were staying at in Killington. Tried out the alpine slide, it turns out though if you have another person sitting on the sled with you it takes a *lot* of strength to keep the brake lever down. The gondola ride up the mountain was very cool, the resturant and hike on top of the mountain were very nice as well.
All in all, a good restul time.

So, my wife likes to watch Prison Break. Up to this season I have always held that Prison Break is a reasonably horrible TV series, but the new season crosses the line of reasonableness. The plot, the acting, the music, everything about that show is nauseatingly stupid. To her credit my wife did agree with me that the current season was crap. Hopefully she lets me remove it from the DVR’s scheduled recordings.
